Based on a grievance filed by a consultant of Microsoft India, Nripendra Kashyap, a case was registered in the Cyber Crime Mobile, they said.
In his grievance, Kashyap alleged that various illegal Delhi-based mostly phone centres had been targeting their consumers by fraudulently circulating pop-up messages that their devices were impacted by malware and are compromised, police explained.
He also alleged the accused charged somewhere concerning $100 and $500 from their clients.
